How many discount codes can I use automatically

Shopify Platform limitations

• Currently only 5 automatic function-based discounts can be active at a time.

• Customers can use a maximum of 5 product or order discount codes and 1 shipping discount code on the same order.

• Discount codes are not limited to 5. However, customer carts can only have 5 codes added at most.

Automatic Discounts

When creating a discount function in Function Junction, the discount type is set to Automatic. The functions also appear in the Shopify Admin -> Discounts folder:

Active Discounts

You can have up to five active or published automatic discounts. These are discounts that are automatically applied based on conditions you've set.

Discount code type discounts aren't limited to five, as these are manual codes that a customers can enter at checkout.

Expired Discounts

Function Junction discount functions that are not published are marked as Expired. These are functions that you've created but toggled off for later use. Shopify displays these as expired in the Discounts folder.
